well my boyfriend broke it off wit me da last day because i said for him to go die....but i was only messing wit him cz like why wud i actually want him to die! but he is sayin dat nobody says stuff like dat nd i said sorry nd even left him a txt message sayin how much loved him nd how sorry i am but he still wont take me back!! do u tink he was only usin wat i said to him as an excuse to break it off?? or wud u do da same thing if sumone said it to you??

well the answer could be yes or no. Yes, because if he really wants to be with you and he cares about you, he would intially be mad... yes..but because he feels so strongly about you, he would communicate to you how you hurt him by what you said, and maybe take a day or two to get over it. But to go the extreme of breaking up is in my opinion an alert/red flag. This could be something he wanted to do, but he couldnt, and probably has been waiting for a reason to do so. So he waits for you to mess up, so he wouldnt feel totally guilty. So now not only did he did what he wanted to do he also excaped the guilt,, which is of course placed on you. thats the worst case scenario
2. No. he is just realy sensative and you need to be aware of that, and choose your words carefully.

Honey, you are missing the bigger picture. I am sure you must have said that in a fit of anger or because he was not giving in to some demand of yours etc. Well to you it is, “Just messing with him!” However, to him it is indicative of your quick temper, insensitiveness, foul mouth and /or your stubbornness. Today it is “Go Die” tomorrow it could be a lot worse. Maybe he has been subjected to some similar incidents prior to this and he decided ‘enough is enough, better to get out now than be sorry later.’ It tells you one thing…your boyfriend was looking for a long time relationship, maybe even marriage…he was looking at the bigger picture. Guys who are interested in a quick fling can afford to be thick skinned and would have laughed it off. I think besides saying sorry you should try to assure him that you will change or perhaps you should move on. Best of luck.

to be honest a guy who cant understand wats fun n wats serious....its no point livin or lovin such a guy...
swthrt he simply doesnt derserves u...

Definitely an excuse and by the way a very cheap one... I can understand that he gets angry when you say such stupid things, but no guy is that sensible to break off because of that...
Forget him, he isn´t worse any tears... better now than later, less waste of time and energy...

Well, it could be that he was really hurt by what you said and that he took it seriously. Sometimes, if we love someone so much, we feel so vulnerable and much more easily hurt by the actions of those we love. But then if you had apologized sincerely to him and showed that it was just an expression, and he still wants to break up, then yeah, he's using it to break up with you.

ok guys r supersensitive tho they won't admit it....give him more time - apologise to him - say it was meant to be a joke - if he still doesn't come around after 10 to 15 days, wait upto a month, then consider it over....

guys are weird i think he he might be using it as ans excuse but i could be wrong guys are really very sensitive than they appear to be i once had a boyfriend and i called him a sonofabitch and oh my god he was like screaming "my mom ain't no bi.tch" and i was trippin cuz that is not what i meant, anyways like i said they are really sensitive:)
