1 - Andrea Pirlo - Completely controlled the Italian offense and helped set up the defense
2 - Gianluigi Buffon - Let in 2 goals the entire World Cup from the Group Stages thru the Finals (and one goal was a mis-kicked OG)
3 - Kaka - Excellent young player for Brazil, sometimes was the only player who really seemed to be trying
4 - Tim Cahill - Completely took over the Australian team and led them through the Group Stage nearly single-handedly
5 - Miroslav Klose - Leading scorer of the World Cup, probably deserved more recognition for the Golden Ball trophy, but it's hard to pick a "Best Player" from a team that doesn't make the Final

according to world cup 2006 performance in my opinion:
1-Fabio Cannavaro : has the best combinations of smarth strength and leadership ...h e lead his team to the world cup and he is the most gifted defender of the world cup
2-kaka??people say that Ronaldinho was the best brazilian but i dont agree because i think he sucked kaka was the best brazilian in the world cup ...actually i think he is the best brazilian since pele's time..he is better than the likes of Ronaldinho and Ronaldo..he is more skilled talented and gifted
3-C.ronaldo?? one of the best young players i think he was the one who deserved the award not podolski though the thing that held him back was his temper..
4-Lampard.. i think was the best english player in the world cup and i think is the best English player currently..explosive sprint and tremendous shots..
5-i guess it would be Lionel Messi..he had the skills and inspirations to cause any problems to all defenders..
can i add another 5?
6-Lukas podolski>>had the biggest effect for his country in the world cup was one of the main reasonsGermany won 3rd place..
7-Trezeguet>>from france i think was the only french who did his job perfectly...he is underrated..the most underrated worldwide may be not among juv fans but world wide he is..i think he deserves more popularity
8-sheva:Agreat forward very efficient shoots well with both feets ..previous balon d'or winner ..first ukranian to win it .. great character..very strong
9-Klose...no one will forget his goal against Argentina which saved Germany from an early knock out.. and the rest 4 goals
10-Torres: skilled player great asssts..create chances one of the best goal poacher in spain and one would love to have a player like him in his team..i think he deserves a better club

England- Owen Hargreaves- Absolutely played his heart out for England. I'd consider him one of the best England had during the WC.
Germany- Miroslav Klose- Great goalscorer for Germany.
France- Franck Ribery- Young talent who I think played very, very well during the WC.
Italy- Fabio Cannavaro- Played as a strong defensiveman and leader and led Italy to the finals.
Australia- Jason Culina- Maybe not top 5 to others, but I think he, like Owen Hargreaves, played brilliant for his team.
I have a 6th, sorry :)
France- Willy Sagnol- played excellent as a defender for the French side all throughout the tourney.

Germany's Lehmann - for incredible goalkeeping match after match
Germany's Miroslav Klose - the man has pretty spot-on aim with his foot
Brasil's Ronaldo - Heck, I'll give it to him for breaking the scoring record
England's John Terry - If you missed the England v Trinidad/Tobago match, go back and watch him volley that would-be goal out of the net
France's Frank Ribery - Does any other player anywhere in the world have the stamina that man has?! I think he put more mileage on his feet than any other Cup player.

Ronaldinho has the main potential out of absolutely everyone of those gamers, in spite of the shown fact that, Wayne Rooney and Frank Lampard are possibly 2 of the main dominant gamers in England. they have plenty greater actual power than Ronaldinho while they're on the ball, and defensively, Lampard tops the lot. bear in mind, offense wins video games, however the defence wins champinships!
