Constantly my husband goes out drinking with his family and I can't go because they all look at me like a piece of meat, and i would be the only girl in the group. I like to drink too, and we used to have fun out drinking together, but now it's different. WHY??

Male bonding. Probably nothing more than drinking and BS-ing with the guys. Don't fret it. Most likely not up to anything. Pretty common ritual guys do.

You have to look at this objectively, How do you carry yourself, are you too friendly, do you dress a little provocative and so on. It could be if you were a little bit more colder or dressed a little less reveling then they might not be so quick to act out of the way towards you. I would also have a sit down with hubby about this. Yes you should be able to dress any way you want to but if you know how they are going to react to this then why give them a reason. Good luck.

It's not a bad thing for each of you to have your own space. Men usually talk sports, the job, and women. So if you're a hottie, I'm sure your name comes up. The main thing is not to be jealous and don't be insecure with this. Go do your thing occasionally and sometimes insist on joining him. Our social needs change throughout our lives. It's a healthy balance that we all need.

Men need to have some time away from women becoz a woman's presence introduces many social restraints on men. Men discuss normal things when they drink together depending on the company. if they were school mates they talk about their school, maybe use vulgar language which would be improper in presence of women. It is a much needed relief from the normal shackles imposed on them by society.

If it is happening constantly then he may be having problems communicating with you.

Let me get this straight..........you are more than willing to go out drinking with your husband to party it up and have a good time, but he'd rather go out with his family? Maybe YOU should start going out with your girlfriends. Tell him that HE'S not invited! See how he likes it! And when see's how hot and sexy you are all dressed up for your girls night out, maybe he'll realize that getting drunk with his wife can be a LOT more fun than getting drunk with his brothers, cousins, or whatever!

Sorry Jennifer but you are not viewed as one of the guys any longer. Just as we all need space from our partners now and again he is merely going out and having some fun with some of his chums. There's nothing stopping you from getting some of your lady friends together to do the same thing.

I don't know him so i cant really speak for him but i can tell you this. I do kinda the same thing every other weekend i go to my Friends house he is married. My wife doesn't go manly cause she doesn't want to, and that don't bother me that much because i like and need time with my friends we cook out lessen to music play music and things like that she dont like me going to bars though and i love and respect her so i meet her half way and just go to his house and no we do not have any girls there besides his wife its just the guys less drama that way. but remember guys need their space so they can unwind and be their self's sometimes.

If he does this on a regular basis, that is not a good thing. There should be some balance in his activities, where you two go out together, without his friends/family, if they make you uncomfortable. Also, why don't you go out with your friends? Give him a dose of his own medicine, and talk to him about the fact that you feel left out.

Round up your girlfriends and do your own thing. Let him wonder what girls REALLY do when they go out drinking without their husbands.
