It is a pain in the nuts and bolts, most of the dash has to come apart. Get yourself a Chilton's or a Haines Manual and good luck.

Replace the truck instead. It's a 20-year-old POS. In the short term, you can also just bypass the heater core by running the heater hose directly back into the engine block. That lets you continue to drive the truck, without heat, but without the leak. Best of luck.
