Someone was dumb enough to state that "you think a fetus is a person. That's your opinion".
Well, if you would have told a slave owner that his slave wass a person, he would have said "that's your opinion"
If you would have told a Nazi that the Jews were people, he would have said "that's your opinion"
I think, if it is OK to murder babies, it should be OK to murder other minorities. If you are a KKK member, and you don't think blacks are people, it is OK to "dispose" of them.
Can someone explain the differences here???

You have gotten and will get a bunch of baloney trying to justify the different treatment. One, that slavery is against the law and abortion is not, is crap. Slavery was legal too, and abortion was illegal. In this country, a judge or legislature declares something illegal, it becomes illegal.
The argument will be made that the child is not viable without the mother's uterus and body keeping it alive. True for a period of time, but that is a changing state, not a static state. The child becomes viable outside the womb. It is not life? Then pro-aborts need to explain articial insemination...that some set of cells is implanted and it becomes human somehow...is that the mother's womb's doing?
To say abortion was an individual decision and the Holocaust was not is also baloney. Not all Jews were exterminated. The Holocaust ultimately was a collection of individual decisions on what to do to and with Jewish life.

This is such a silly comparison it is laughable. No one would call a fetus a minority, by any definition of fetus or minority.
Fetuses are not people until they are viable. Would you keep a non developing conjoined twin alive because it is a life? What about a tumor?
Life begins somewhere and a fetus could become a life, but so could eggs and sperm. We, as a country have picked an arbitrary point.
So if you want to stop abortions start teaching, preaching, and encouraging birth control. Stop rape and incest. Then maybe then, we can talk about protecting cell clusters.

fetues- they can't think, reason, have memories, interpret things, or survive on their own. I don't think life begins or countinues (being brain dead) when there is no thought.. we can prove they don't think, they lack that part of the brain until the second trimester
Slavery- was a common practice. it has been proven that people are not biologically or mentally/intellectually different because of race or ethnicity. (slavery isn't acceptable, but we do find animal hierarchies were the lowest ones are treated similair to -human-slaves)
holocaust- as I said above we've proved no one is difference based on race/ethnicity. genocide is not a common practice- and never has been. it is also unnatural- humans are the only creature to kill their own.

Do you have a hobby? If not, get one.
The differences are immense - slavery and the holocaust were travesties inflicted on a group of persons out of pure ignorance, and by political leaders who at the times believed themselves superior in intelligence. The warped thinking was that the masses could control the few.
Abortion is a one person decision made by the person in control of her body not out of superiority to anyone else but out of the desire to not bring a child into the world they have no desire, no means, and no inclination to raise.
Oh and a fetus under the age of external viability is not recognized as a "person".
I would rather a woman get an abortion than bring a child into the world addicted to drugs, or that will be abused and not cared for. All the bleeding hearts who think they have a right to stand "holy" over a woman's uterus need to take out their wallets and pay the bills.

I can see the comparison between abortion and the holocaust because they're both about killing. Only difference was the Nazis didn't give a damn which side of the birth canal you were on. But slavery? They wanted to keep slaves alive, not kill them. That was totally different.

You my friend, have asked a loaded question. What? Looking for a fight? While I'm sure that a survivor of the holocaust would argue that there's a huge difference, I just don't see it. Ethically, morally (yes, I just went there) and mentally, they all equate out to about the same to me. And for those who are going to give me a serious thumbs down, I ask about credit card debt. What is the difference between indebtedness and slavery. Can you think that one through?

How about it is legal to have an abortion and not legal to own slaves .
If you think it is ok to murder minorities living outside the womb you have a more serious problem than you "think".

They are not much different; in all cases, human beings were labeled "non-persons" so that other human beings could subjugate and kill them. For proof of this, see:
