If it's a belt they are usually OK for 50-60 thousand miles, but if you don't know when it was last changed it wouldn't be a bad idea to change it anyway, for piece of mind. for body panels try a company called Euro panel, they are quite good or German, Swedish and French is another to try for panels and parts also most motor factors ( such as part-co ) should be able to help, but they are not always cheaper than the dealer. I used to work for a dealership, they give trade customers 15% discounts or more so try asking for a discount, you might be surprised.

Hi
Your car has a belt and it should be changed between 45k and 50k to be safe. If you don't know when it was last changed then you are best advised to change it as soon as possible because belt breakage on a car of this age will be unneconomical to repair and therefore terminal.
As far as body panels are concerned, try:-

I get a lot of parts through them and they've never let me down yet.
Just as a matter of interest, what are the "issues" you are having with the Fox?
Best regards

I enjoyed that advert, and that i won't be in a position to have confidence that human beings might whinge! human beings smash each and every thing! To the main important quantity the canine is computing gadget Generated, purely like the single that sings. that's in uncomplicated terms showing his lacking of self assurance to sing whilst not being interior the motor vehicle...whats the harm in that?! They used a real animal for a small ammount of time, which replace into owned by between the creators. Its not purely like the canine replace into having a extra healthful or something... that's not merciless in any respect... ...everybody is so STOOPID!

Our 91 polo had a belt. It's worth getting it changed if you don't know when it was last done. I think it should be every 50K.
Your local scrappy will sell second hand bits and bobs.

For parts try German French and Swedish at http://www.gsfcarparts.com/
I believe your car has a timing belt, but I don't know the recommended change frequency - ask your local library for the Haynes manual for that model - see http://www.haynes.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10001&storeId=10001&productId=13263&langId=-1
for the full title and ISBN number.
