Are houses more expensive in Torrance, & the L.A. Cal areas, or more expensive in the Oakland Cal, area ?

How much more or less expensive are houses in the Oakland Cal areas compared to houses in the "Torrance" / L.A. areas ?

We are looking for a 4 bedroom 3 bath house in one of these areas.

Please Provide legitimate Sources (real estate sites, etc. that show the information).

We currently live in San Diego, Cal.

and are looking to move within the next

couple of months. To be precise, we

live in Mira Mesa, Cal. (part of San

Diego). We are now living in a Three

Bedroom, 2 bath (costed us $379, 500

in Aug. of 2005). Still live there presently.
