Even if you are very poor you should not sell your own or other people's children! How horrible and even worse this is not the only nation in the world who is traficing small kids.

What one society thinks is horrid, others think quite okay. Let's face it in a place where one can take the edge off poverty and not have to feed a child (though it is beyond me), indeed selling the child is, I suppose, more palatable.
In some countries, though, they put unwanted (usually female) children in horrible orphanages and abandon them, never looking back. These are worse than anything that could be fictionalised.
Thanks for bringing it up. People need to know.

It is sad. imagine the plight of the child. OK - i agree that for the sellers, it might be the only recourse to survive (i agree that if they can not take care of a child they have no right to bring them into this world) - worse is that, there are people in this world who buy them for sexual pleasures. you know that most of these kids are sexually abused. they are bought with this purpose only. i have read horrific stories about kid-abuse in arab countries. they sometimes tie the small kids on the back of a camel and have a camel race (i am sure you know that camel races are done in desserts only)... when the scared kids cry - the camels run faster. most of the kids fall off the camel's back and are roasted in the hot sands others die of heat stroke and choking of fear and crying.... my only question after reading this was - WHERE IS GOD????????

It is a sad state of affairs in this country, when we complain about slavery that ended 200 years ago, when slavery still exists in a massive capacity. Many children are sold into the sex industry.

It is easy for us to criticise.
BUT....
Faced with the choice of letting your child starve or selling it (which CAN BE the choice for many) which would you do?

There are groups actively working against human trafficking (eg The Salvation Army) who are also doing somethging to tackle those root causes.

And those that don't have children to sell or care too much for their children will sell a kidney.

This has been going on for decades and it's not just the Indian people who do this.

Read up on other societies that have unimaginable poverty and see the real world as it truly is.
