does how much your baby weighs have anything to do with how much the parents weighed.. like for example the mother weighed 6lb 5oz when born an the father weighed 10lb even when born .. does that mean they will have a big baby...

Allegedly.

However I was 8lbs 8oz and my husband was over 10lbs and my baby was 8lbs 2oz. 8lbs is considered an average sized baby according to most growth charts.

Besides talk to some mothers of more than 4 children and they will tell you larger babies are easier to birth than small ones.

I'm sure it plays a part in the baby's weight, but I've known of some people who were very small at birth giving birth later on to some large babies!

It may but I doubt it I weighed 3lbs something (i was premature) and the dad wieghed 4lbs something and my daughter weighed 8lbs 5 oz so I don't see much of a similarity.

it's hard to say but ive read that you can average the 2 for a rough estimate on how much your baby will weigh.

My son was 9lbs 3 oz - I was 8lbs 6 oz, and my husband was 7lbs even...so I can't honestly say that I think there is a corrolation there.

no it doesn't matter on the weight of the parents. My cuz just had her baby. he was 13.9. when she was born she was 7.4 and her hubby 9.7. so I would have to say not.

Nope, although some people may feel that it matters.
