When you are breast feeding, be sure you have good posture. Your back should be against the chair. Put your feet up on a short stool if needed for comfort. They make special nursing stools or just use a little step stool. Bring your baby up to you and don't lean forward moving your breast to your baby. Most women have one breast that is bigger than the other normally and nursing just makes it more pronounced. Let your baby begin nursing on alternating breasts at each feeding. Have her begin on the left and finish on the right. Next time, have her start on the right and finish on the left. It is common for babies to have a favorite side and it is often related to which side you are most comfortable using. Use a nursing pillow or a combination of bed pillows or throw pillows to make you and the baby comfortable. Keep your back straight against the chair and use the pillows to support your arms and the baby. You don't say how old your baby is, but if she is younger than 2 months than you both are still getting the hang of breast feeding. Try different nursing positions, too. You can find them online or in a breast feeding book at the book store or your library. I don't think you have an infection. A breast infection (mastitis) is very painful and your breast will become red, swollen, and warm. It needs a doctors attention.

If your back hurts maybe you should try to wear a support bra if you think its from your breast being heavier. One breast will be bigger than the other if you only feed out of one breast you should try to feed from the both of them and they will be the same size.

My daughter is 8 months old and I am still nursing, about 3 months ago I got a breast infection otherwise known as mastitis. It tends to be very painful and generally contained in one breast. If your breast is hard and painful to touch, feels warm to the touch and appears red in one area chances are you have an infection which can be treated with antibiotics. See your doctor. Often one breast is normally bigger while breastfeeding so that alone probably isn't an indication of infection and backaches are common after having baby because you are obviously carrying your baby around which strains the back. If you are worried or you start to have breast pain see your Dr.

I don't know what an "inveshine" is?

If your back hurts it could mean......

1. You are leaning forward while nursing (bringing the breast to the baby) instead of sitting back in your seat and bringing baby to the breast.

2. Your bra isn't supportive enough.

If one breast seems much bigger, maybe you and baby are favoring that side? Try nursing more often on the smaller side to see if you can even things out.

First of all ,you never said how big your boobs are.If your boobs were big before you became pregnant, did your back hurt then ?
They fill up with milk while you are pregnant and go up and down with size as you breast feed.Watch the breast the baby goes after all the time,is this the smaller one.Try and use them both ,that way they stay the same size.I think the back pain will go away once the breast feeding is over, good luck Dr.Dave
