EM as you know stands for an Electro-Magnetic wave.

EM -wave is a disruption of space caused by change in electric and magnetic fields. The electric and magnetic phenomena are believed to be a part of one electromagnetic phenomenon. When an electric charge is moving it generated an electric field. Varying magnetic field induces electric current.

Interesting is that the forces of electric field are always perpendicular to the forces of magnetic field they produce and of course the reverse is true.

Finally electromagnetic wave always consists of an electric field component always traveling with a magnetic field component and they are 90 degrees apart in space as they travel together.

Light and radio waves are good examples of EM waves.

I hope it helps.
