I don't think there's a need of retirement age for politicians.
Regardless of their age, politicians who are representing the people in proper and benevolent ways will always be trusted by their constituent. Why would the people get rid of the wise-old person for a dirty young one, for example.
The retirement time for politicians are set by their own constituents. When the people are disappointed by their representative (politician), and decided to vote against him/her in the election, that's when a politician should retire.

yes there should be a retirement age for politicians too similar to other professions. as a person ages, the ability to perform would start to fail & thats the time to let youngers take over with their youth & exhuberance they would probably bring better results. this is the rule of all professions then why make politics an exception?

Yes,there should be an age for retirement for the politicians and it could be decided by all the citizens of our Nation, keeping in mind the importance of having matured, intelligent, selfless, dedicated, statesman like politicians, and , at the same time not forgetting to eliminate the senile, dementic, vegetative personalities. I feel, 70 years is the upper limit for any politician to be in active politics or to govern the country and after this, they should retire and stay as the well wisher of the political party he belongs and no more.He/She should not be allowed to stand in any election or nominated to Rajya Saba or lok saba or Legislative assembly or local govering bodies etc.

They should be forced into retirement when they can no longer function, or suffer from dementia. However, politicians are better regarded with age, because of the experience and wisdom that they gain.

i think that it depends on what country the politician is from. other wise i don't think there is a true definition of when a politician retires other then when they are physically incapable of working or they are being forced to retire.

We should not limit them by age,
we have to leave the choice to them, to get appropriate time,
Because , we have to taste the Juice of their experience , knowledge, diplomatists, guidance, etc, that they have gained.
But we must have retirement system based on "history of past" OR "Rating methods"
Performances,
Education level,
Attitudes,
nexuses with criminals,
corruption,
And many more aspects, related to national welfare.

i think that age should not be the constraint. if a politician can perform, even in his old age, he should be given the chance, but the first thing we should do is to stand against every corrupted politician, irrespective of age....
