If support is court ordered, he cannot skip out on his obligation. Call your county social service office to get the process started. You should do this as soon as possible.

In the State of Texas yes he can file the appropriate paperwork with the court to terminate his parental rights. The judge must sign off on the paperwork and he must also have a good reason. The judge won't sign off on it unless there is a better reason other than "i don't want to pay child support." You can have him sign the paper work and if you both agree the rights will be terminated but you (on your child's behalf) can always dispute it if he does it on his own. Child support is not all that simple though. yes technically they are supposed to pay up to 22% of their income to you through the State of Texas Child Support Disbursement Unit. There are ways around it though. The State of Texas is very lenient on the person oweing the child support in my experience. As long as they make an effort which could be as little as 20$ a month Texas will not do anything more that send them collection letters.

take the sum to court, he's the father and should pay for the child. and if you have a court order he will have to pay for the next 18 years, if he does decide to give up parental rights, more the reason to pursue child support. i think if he gives up parental rights it still doesn't change the facts he is the farther, I'd call a lawyer and start going for support now before the baby is born if you can

From what i be responsive to that's criminal to provide up your rights on your baby and not pay baby help interior the state of texas. yet you moreover would would desire to remember that in case you are trying this, you will have no say in any respect on what is going on on your childs existence. you heavily isn't waiting to work out the baby . you won't be able to alter your strategies at any time and merely opposite what you probably did. So earlier you come to a decision merely confirm you relatively dont prefer to be on your childs existence. I do have faith that the baby would desire to have you ever in there existence. the mummy isn't questioning of the baby yet of herself and that to me is egocentric and incorrect so I do have faith which you will desire to stay on your childs existence. simply by fact the mummy for sure isn't interested in what the baby needs or will choose interior the destiny... sturdy success.... Anyone can give up rights to their children by signing the right papers with the courts. Before you consent to this, try to give alitte more time. He's probably just freaking out and maybe he will come to want to know his child. If he doesn't after a year then, do it. I know it's not really fair, but some men are real wimps about this.

No. That would mean he has to pay MORE in child support, because the amount paid is based on both incomes and on the percentage of time spent with the child.

Get a lawyer.

yes...sorry to say but yes.
You are doing the right thing. Bring him to court. He might want to do a dna test to buy time but he can't get away from that. The worst thing he could do is give up his parental rights. When your child grows up, she/he will wonder who is their real father. Just don't bash the father b/c you should let them find out for themselves. Just focus on loving, and providing for your child and the rest will fall into place. You will find someone who accepts you and your baby...Good luck!
