I'm looking for a good on-demand virus scanner that could be easily run from a CD or DVD. I already have a virus scan program running automatically on the system, I'd like the flexibility of being able to perform an additional scan with a second on-demand virus scan program. Thanks.

Avast antivirus has an on demand scanner and real time shield in one. It also has an IM scanner, P2P File sharing filter, web filter, email scanner, and more.
