That is a good weight, I had my daughter at 36 weeks and she was 6lbs 2oz, and 19 3/4 long. They said that was a perfect weight for a baby that age. Don't worry about being dilated, I have been dilated 3 cm for about 3 weeks and I am due on Friday the 19th.
Good luck and hope all goes well

That is just a "best guess" as to your baby's size. I am assuming by u/s? It is not a reliable method of predicting weight. They are often wrong by as much as a pound.

Also, how far dilated and effaced you are now really means nothing. It's just another way that doctors try to "manage" your pregnancy and birth. Honestly, if you aren't in active labor, those numbers are useless. You can walk around for a week or more dilated 3-4 cm and 100% effaced (I did) or you can be closed up tight as a bank vault and have a baby a few hours later.

Don't obsess on the numbers. Just trust your body and your baby to know when it is time. You really need baby to stay put at least 2 more weeks so that you will be full term then. BUT.....keep in mind that a normal pregnancy is anywhere from 38 to 42 weeks long.

well you will have him when he is ready but he might be a bigger baby! which is way better than being a tiny baby. i have my 1st child at 41 weeks and he was 8 lbs 8oz and was 20 inches long. but the weight of the baby doesnt mean that he could or will come sooner. but i would guess being your 2cm dialted that around 38 weeks or so. but of course i dont know for sure but you could dialat faster or slower. every women is different. just prepare ahead of time in case it happens. cuz once the cutie comes your gonna have lots of things on your mind. take this time to get the nursery ready and relax read a book watch tv. stuff for you!

From the way it sounds, baby will be making his debut sooner rather than later. You can never tell though, they decide on their own! I'm 35-36 weeks also and at last check-up Doc estimated baby's weight at around 6lbs so I suppose the weight is on track. Good luck and Congrats!! We're almost there!! :)

Weight sounds good. Its hard to tell everyone thought I was going to have a 8lb baby cause of the ultra sounds, but he was small 6lbs 12oz! It sounds like you will have the baby sooner if your 2cm. Good luck to you, how exciting!

It is getting to a good weight. Right now your baby will put on most of his/her weight in the last few weeks of your term. I am sure the baby is growing fine and if there were any concerns your doctor would have addressed them with you.

I dont have faith that they'd make it easier to be responsive to the load of your baby by ultrasound. the clarification I say that's simply by fact while i exchange into 37 a million/2 weeks, they did an ultrasound and reported he exchange right into slightly 6 kilos which upset me a sprint...properly 2 days later, he exchange into born at 8 kilos 11 oz....I dont have faith that he grew that plenty in 2 days. i does not hardship relating to the toddler being too huge. merely guard your self the previous few weeks earlier the toddler is born!

It's a perfect wait. And you never know when they end up coming... so hang in there. Get your naps in while you still can!! Enjoy motherhood... it truly is a wonderful blessing.
