You do not need to see a doctor unless you start to experience fever or dizziness. Americans tend to get a D&C done but that is riskier than watchful waiting.
You are told not to use a tampon for post-partum bleeding because of the risk of infection, so I would avoid it. However if you really need to for some reason just be sure to use the lightest absorbancy possible and leave it in for the shortest amount of time possible.

Get yourself to the doctor if you think you might be miscarring because if not properly treated you could get an infection. Oh and no tampons what so ever.

NO - if you ARE miscarrying, you need to let it come out and you need to go to the doctor
why the hell did i get a thumbs down? i said no to the tampon question, to let it come out naturally if it IS coming out, and to go see a doctor.
