Is the Gibson Les Paul, Flying V, SG, or Explorer the best?

it depends on the music your playing.if its rock or metal the les paul or flying v are both cool,with the les paul being my preference,because of the awsome depth of the pickups.but al of these guitars will sound good through a desent enough amp,i prefer peavey but any top name should surfice.

It's gotta be the Flying V or the Explorer. You can't really go wrong with the Les Paul either.

huge difference. the SG physique isn't as dense so the tone lacks the sustain of the heaver guitar, yet cuts via greater advantageous. I never liked Flying V's reason ya won't be able to play them sitting down.
