I can help, but i will have to tell you later! Only joking! Why do people procrastinate? i think people procrastinate just because they don't want to do a particular task, they would rather be doing something they enjoy. But very often its out of fear,as a recovered alcoholic,i can go back throughout my history and see nearly all my delays in doing anything were fear based, and alcohol was a great way to procrastinate for me,but then when i had come round after yet another bender i would procrastinate further through yet more fear.Another factor is is daydreaming, probably my worst trait at school,i suppose that trait has stayed with me a little even these days. Hope that's of some help.

I am always procrastinating and its all about putting off doing something that you don't want to do. During that time I will do pretty much anything to take my mind off it, watch tv, use my computer, read a book, if I am desperate I have even been known to do housework. (of course I normally do housework but not with such enthusiasm)

Then there are the stories of leaving a report until the last minute and working late into the night/early morning to get it finished.

Of course the simple answer to your questions is: if you have plenty of time, do it later.

I will answer this question later....I'm just having a rest first....
Well, it is a sin and you shouldn't do it because there might not be a 'next time' or a 'later'. Having said that, I always do it, I'm very famous for my procrastination. My brother is even worse and when we are together, we always plan to do some really cool things but never get to do them.

The best advice I can give you is to think about it for a week or two.

I met a girl on 6th Jan this year and we set off to Malta for a week in the morning - we are both over 70, hows that for procrastination?

I stroke my pets
I exercise
I come on this site and a forum site
I sleep
I worry
I have long baths
I sulk
and then usually it's all followed by a mental breakdown and a trip to the doctors :) appointment is already booked for tomorrow :(

all the time...why do today what you can put off till tomorrow!! Im a nightmare for doing it,if its something i dont fancy doing i'll do my best to find something else to take it's place, then i feel like i have an excuse, dont know why i bother because it only me that will end up doing it anyway.
