You don't really need to tell her anything.. just be there with her. Let her know that you are there and available for whatever she wants. Telling her that you are sorry for her lost is something you should tell her.
Good Luck!

Just be there to see if anything needs doing. You won't have to say anything. "I am so sorry" is fine. "Can I be of any use?" is fine too. Maybe she just wants to be left alone - that is up to her.
Being available is mostly what a grieving person needs. Besides there are lots of THINGS to be done - funeral preparations and relatives will arrive and stuff. Be useful if you can. Off er to buy groceries or deliver stuff. You will be g reat help just being there.
And console, no wrods necessary

Tell her you are sorry, give her a hug, and just be there for her. There is nothing you can really do or say, when people lose someone what they need most is a friend who will listen and understand, she may laugh or cry, you just need to be understanding and help her through this.

Tell her you love her and that you are very sorry to hear of her loss. Hug her when she cries. Listen quietly. Offer to help with the arrangements and phone calls. Just be the best kind of friend you can be.

"I am very sorry for your loss, she was a special person to all of us, if you need me for anything, I am here for you".
And just listen. Sometimes not saying anything is the best of all.
Never say "she's in a better place". Trust me.

Just hug her when she opens the door. Take her some flowers. The rest will come naturally.

Just be there. There really isn't anything you can say to console her in the beginning. Just let her know that she is loved, and that you will do all you can for her.
