Difficult question. I think they both have their merrits: -
Women are better because:
They are slower and more tentitive towards driving
Men are better because:
They have better spacial awareness then women. This is scientifically proved, and something to do with men being hunters
Women are worse because:
They'll put on makeup and check themselves in the mirror more
Men are worse because:
They'll try to play with other gadgets in the car whilst driving
At the end of the day, it depends on the individual. I have 2 sisters, and one of them is over-confident, the other under-confident, making them both bad drivers. Mum's also a bad driver. Dad and I are brilliant drivers. So I suppose Men make the better drivers in our family, anyway ;-)

Well i was a driving instructor I found that the MALE driver was, and is cocky likes to show off, drives to fast, and not very cautious. Female well they drive a little slow at times, and are over cautious, but overall the better driver is FEMALE, and i am a male driver

Insurance company's think woman are the best drivers because they make less claims. This could be because they travel less miles or they claim on their husband insurance. I have been driving for 26 years and I have driven all over the world. The only drivers that have ever scared me have been women. Maybe on average they are safer because they are better at multi-tasking, but a bad one is really really bad.

I think it is a toss up between males and females. I have ridden with some men who were horribly scary, and some women who also had my ar*se puckering.
I am not sure of statistics, but will bet it is slightly more experienced, but not too old drivers who are the best.

I say female drivers are the best, not just me, but insurance companies have found this to be the case. Hence there are insurance companies who offer cheaper rates for female drivers. In my experience, males made out more accident reports (ARB's) than females. I rest my case m'lord.

Women are better. I have been driving for 18 years and the two accidents i have had were both the mens fault. One backed into me while i was stationary, and the other one went into the side of my car with his lorry as i was parked up.

Mile for Mile, men are safer drivers statistically. The reason that insurance premiums are higher for men is because when men crash they do a proper job of it, and don't just put a small dent in the wing while parking.

Female, coz if they get pulled up they just flash their eye lashes and get let off with a caution,
thats why blokes usually have more points on license

neither!! why does there have to be a best! why are we always competing against eachother. respect on the road by all will cut down on road accidents which kill innocent people everyday! we are equals and we all make mistakes. who cares who makes the most, lets just learn from them!
