Neither snake is markedly cannibalistic, but both have very different environmental requirements. They can be kept together if it's an unavoidable lack of funds to set up separate cages, but it's a compromise at best that won't benefit either snake. The corn is more flexible in terms of tolerating environmental extremes, as the ball is more of a high temp, desert type snake. Also, the above answer about the ball crushing the corn with it's body weight is the best laugh I've had in days! Makes ya wonder if people have any knowledge about their snakes or not.

Beyond territoriality there's the issue of size, corn snake gets comfortable in a warm spot and ball python wants the same spot, ballie decides to sleep on top of cornie and you've got a smooshed snake.
Then there's feeding, do you have two separate containers to feed them in? Otherwise if one finishes eating before the other and decides it's still hungry you can end up with two snakes eating the same rat and thus, the other snake. It happens.
And one more issue to bring up, diseases/parasites. Having one sick snake is bad enough, having both in the same cage means that if one gets mites/respritory infection/whatever, the other will get it as well.
Housing snakes together is never a good idea, even if they are the same type of snake. If you're breeding, put them together for a while but not long term. Bad things happen.

No, we accidently but a baby burmese in with a ball python both where the same size and where together for a month when the ball python killed the Burmese. Snake like Kings and Corns eat other snakes so the will kill the other snake for food.

No, The size of a ball compared to a corn, maybe the length is the same some time, but the girth of a royal is massive to a corn. Snakes are canabalestic, so no, defo no. trust me go on a reptile forum, EVERYONE will say no. putting corns with corns can go wrong also the smae with ball pythons.

For what it's worth, in many years of keeping various rat snakes, I've never had a problem with cannibalism. Keep them well-fed and they're usually fine. I wouldn't think Corn Snakes would be all that much different. 20 gallon isn't very big for adult snakes, though. If you want to have them share a space, maybe a big screen cage would be better. I usually had them go about 3' X 4' X 3' or so, wood frame, with one or two climbing branches and maybe a feeding hatch to drop mice in so you don't have to open the big door.

Yes, you can put two snakes in the same tank. WARNING: BE CAREFUL!!!!!! Sometimes snakes tend to hurt each other. This
can be because they don't like each other, fight for food, etc. If you have two different kinds of snakes, you might want to put them in two different tanks, because snakes don't always like each other, exspecially if they are different species. If they like each other, than you could put them in the same tank.

Sometimes snakes eat other snakes. It's definately not a good idea. Also, there is the bacterial issue. You don't want your snakes to get sick. It's a lot cheaper and heathier to just seperate them.

As a general rule it is best to house snakes in seperate vivs unless you are trying to mate them.
