When it comes down to it, I'm a thinking human being. I take in all that websites, tv, etc. give me. But I only choose to believe what seems sensible or right to me. I do agree with you that you should choose wisely what you want to believe or who you want to follow. You can't take someone elses truth just cause, you have to take their truth because you really believe in that truth. I agree, be careful because your soul depends on it.

Well, some people who answer here are professional. There is a wide variance, though. There are people, such as the newly named " I win ", who are not qualified to give answers to 2 year olds. As they put opinion and delivery above the evidence. They believe bombast is the equal of intelligence and education. Sad, really, but such ignorance is also dangerous, as the " smooth operator " can always get some like minded moron to follow in his wake.

Some people honestly think there is no possibility that they are wrong or else think they do know more than they really do. They are so sure of themselves they come across as if what they say should not be questioned. You can usually tell, though, when someone is like this because what they say often has ridiculous elements to it and just are obviously not believable.

People who are of a certain intelligence and integrity, though, may actually have a lot of solid information to offer; but they will offer it in a "this is what I think" way or "consider this" way. People of the right kind of intelligence know what they know and don't know and are intelligent enough to know that they don't know everything.

There are times, though, when someone who actually does know what he is talking about because of experience or other learning in his life may be accused of "thinking he knows it all" just because he presents what he has to say in a confident way. People who are less sure of themselves find his confidence obnoxious and interpret it as "thinking he knows it all" (when, really, he doesn't - he may just know his subjectmatter).

Finally, there are people who claim to know what no human on Earth can know. These are the people who tell others what happens after death, etc. Reason tells any of us that it is impossible to know for sure what will happen.

All anyone can ever do is listen to what someone has to say, reason out whether it makes sense or not and reason out what others say as well, and form opinions based on one's own taking in of opinions and information and deciding for oneself.

One guideline about who/what to believe is this: If you take what this person says and consider it within the context of other things in life, does it seem like "the puzzle pieces fit", or does it seem just way out of whack.

Many people have good advice to give, some have bad advice to give. You must learn to discriminate between which advice is helpful and which is not. Whether things on the TV on the net are true or not, you must still live your life to the best of your ability.

Try to put aside time to help others, this is the best possible advice I could give
