Is it still a Nissan if you take the engine out and put a Toyota engin in?
Is it a Toyota then or stiil a Nissan? Is it the engin that makes the car or the body?

It's the body / platform that makes the car. The VIN# will still be a Nissan VIN even though the engine does not have a matching number (or make). Same happens if you replace the Nissan engine with another Nissan engine.. no matching #'s but still a Nissan. The DMV goes by the original make of the vehicle. If you rip the body off and turn it into a dune buggy with an american V8, the DMV will still call it a Nissan as long as that VIN is still on there somewhere (frame, dash, etc).

It's a abomination...the Nissan 350Z, Skyline, and Silvia had some of the best engines to tune...basically, they run the Japanese tuner scene..making as much as 500 to 600 horses easy...with twin turbos or superchargers...besides the Supra and Lexuses...what does Toyota have ?...especially now...Nissan Skyline is the top dog.

I would call it a Nissan because that's what you'd see first.

wellp in this case then it's a Toysan, and in some other places they call it a Nissota
