One very special symbol is the dove. It stands for the idea of peace and love. Sometimes an artist will add a dove to a picture to say "Peace on Earth".
The dove has been a symbol for a long, long time. In an ancient Greek myth, Aphrodite was the goddess of love. She kept a dove as a pet. The dove became a symbol for love.

was present above Jesus' head.
When Noah sent out a Dove out of the arc during the flood, the Dove brought back an olive branch symbolizing peace and that land was nearby.

Doves symbolize peace. There are constant references to doves in the bible. When Noah trys to find land he sends a dove to find some evidence of land. When Jesus was being baptized, the holy spirit came to the event in the form of a dove as god spoke from the heavens. This represents the holy trinity of the Triune God.

It depends on the culture. Dove in christian mythology represents the holy spirit and peace.
In other cultures, dove is the symbol of mother earth, hope, new beginnings, the divine feminine, and good fortune.
I hope this helps.
