As far as I can she she is not a very good example to our kids?

HELL NO!! i dont think shes really seen as a rolemodel. She became famous from her hilton family. Like with her Grandad starting up Hilton hotels and stuff like that. And i honestly dont kno how she is a rolemodel. I think she is a terrible example about how people should act. And also the Simple Life helped her become famous.

I have always wondered that myself. I mean, look at her sister, Nikki. She is famous, too, but not as famous as her older sister, Paris. Why? Because Nikki dosen't make sex tapes and has it exposed to the world, and also is involved in her own life, and not obsessed by the media. She also dosen't do or say stupid things to the media. I think the only reason Paris is famous is because of the antics she is always doing. Then she thought "OMG, I am SOOO famous, why don't I make a record???!!!" So she did, and now people worship her even more. But I happen to know for a fact that she is so bad at singing, all of the producers and record company people had to digitally retouch her voice so much. She is so horrible at it, that they only take the basis of her voice and add other peoples, and so much technology that it ends up sounding good. And as for the rolemodel things, I am not sure why. I think that kids look up to her for her style, and social status. She is popular, they want to be popular, they look up to her.
She disgusts me more than any other human being.

Not being funny but Paris Hilton isnt a good role model for anyone. I mean, look at the state of Britney Spears after hanging round with her! She made her name by being thick and acting like the world owes her a living. Oh and a little thing called 'One Night in Paris'

Yes, I think you're totally right. I guess some girls may look up to her because so many guys think she's hot and she's so rich. On the plus point, she tracks publicity and clubbing is her favorite activity, all the time! Those are basically the only reasons why Paris is famous. She doesn't know how to sing or act properly at all, and with all that money, you'd think she'd actually contribute to needy socities and so forth. She doesn't and spends all her bling on herself. That passes her as a bratty little loser.

maybe, just maybe,paris isn't meant to be a role model for our kids. why,oh,why,does everyone whose famous become an involuntary role model for our kids. first and foremost her outrageously funny series with nicole ritchie,THE SIMPLE LIFE,wasnt aimed at our kids. i thoroughly enjoyed them experiencing life on the other side of the tracks, i doubt she has to wipe her own arris if she doesnt feel like,and to watch her and nicole partake in some gruelling jobs and literally muck in and earn their keep was really entertaining,they wreaked havoc and mayhem wherever they went and it made great viewing, shes the ultimate spoilt ritch bit.ch who has never,or indeed will ,ever want for anything,yet shes also,fresh,amusing,respectful and polite,and if girls want to follow her lead and go out,dance,let their hair down,have fun with guys, carry a Chihuahua around in a holdall,then you know what i say, let them, because they sure as hell could be doing a lot worse!!!!!!!

SHE IS NOT A ROLE MODEL!!! shes not even close!!! but shes famous cuz shes a pary girl and she was the "IT girl" a few year back!!! and of course her last name is HILTON which is a rele popular hotel!!!

This is the problem. As soon as someone gets into the media, they become a role model regardless of any worthwhile attributes. Its predominantly down to the silly "celebrity" magazines and the scum press, though TV doesn't help.
