i just want to say that i dislike Valentine's Day because everyone feels that they have to make en effort to be 'romantic' and make a grand gesture-i think if you want to tell someone you love them why need a commercialised day of the year to do it?

I agree, what's the point in sending stupid cards and chocolates and flowers on one stupid Halmark Holiday. Can't we just do these things on our own without having some company tell us that we have to do it on that day? Screw you Halmark, try to make up a new holiday to make money with.

No, it's actually a Catholic feast day - Saint Valentine's feast day. Not valentine's day. I agree that the secular commercialized part should be banned but not the saint's day itself. Of course that can't be done anyways. People don't celebrate it for what it truly states for anymore. That's the problem.

Why would u want 2 do that? Unless you are a loser who can't get anyone to except a valentine from u. Don't ban Valentine's Day! I can't imagine life without it.

It will never happen, the greeting card industry, and the chocolate companies won't allow it.
