If we had the MOWO (music of white origin) Awards we would be called racists.

There is absolutely nothing to stop a white musician from winning a MOBO award.

Well, apart from being WHITE, that is.

We'll be having a "music of Islamic Origin" award some time soon......

They are allowed because white Europeans and there descendants rule the world.
As they hold the power it would be wrong of them to exclude others from there awards,
But the hole thing did upset me
Till I realised that its not excluding none Blacks but merely celebrating mediocre music
It has yet to find the next Chuck Berry, Bob Marley, Ray Charles or even Michel Jackson.
The fact is the one place blacks need no help is in music
And the MOBO’s are no help at all

My query is this libertine’s and now Dirty pretty things have a black drummer so do they qualify for MOBO’s ?

At best it’s a return to segregation at worst its out right racism
Soon more “black artist’s” will not partake and it will disappear till then
Of curse it should be allowed

The worst problem is at the same time as some fool says "your racist" once you contact upon the coloration of something! I dont imagine it really is faulty to have MOBO (under no circumstances heard of it until eventually now). yet possibly it will be more desirable to call it something different to remedy racial discrimination complications. yet, then it will be basically ignoring the sentiments that folk have in the route of race and racism, which i imagine is a higher problem. possibly, in a united states of america with maximum individuals of black human beings, then that united states of america would have a "music of White beginning"? that would want to easily be any music performed through white human beings...would not be counted what form. So, i imagine that those awards are basically in case you're celebrating themselves, no be counted what race or coloration. They dont wanna compete with different races, fantastic through me.

The MOBO should NOT be alowed cos there's a lot of bad dressed ppl there and they sing very low class songs. Terrible.
And you don't want to go out to central london after that event cos all you see is ppl behaving like animals, fighting, chavs, drugs... I work at a nightclub and I always take the night off when events like that happens. Is just like... everyone wants to be a "gangsta".
Bollocks.

i'm really through with these questions. What the hell is MOBO? i could go on a random website and find some random thing that only whites celebrate as well. why do people think that because something "exists" it is "allowed" allowed by whom?

edit: the bbc is in charge of actually broadcasting the show. take it up with them

oh please....do you hear black people going on and away about white people holding the Country music awards. Its each to their own, stop jumping on the racist bandwagon. Jamouriqui, Simply Red and Lisa Stansfield, have all won awards at the Mobo awards....and suprise suprise, they aint black.

It's to bring non-whites up to speed with whites. I could live without a music awards for my own colour if it meant that I was the most privileged race ._.

And what's socially accepted isn't really my decision
