They are two companies that produce Micro Processors.
You may know that there is IBM PC and Apple computers
Like there is Windows and Macintosh or UNIXoperating systems.
There is not one that is far much better than the other --- they have features that vary but are comparable.
The best you get depends on your money you can buy the best from either side, they will work well.
However if you like company names and develop confidence in one brand then choose a processor according to brand "Intel" or "AMD"

AMD Athalon = Intel Pentium 4
AMD Sempron = Intel Celeron
AMD Turion = Intel Centrino Pentium 4

The person up their is a hipacript he spelt" you "wrong spelling "u" so don't have a go at someone if they have spelt something wrong... people do sometimes and sorry i don't really know all i know is that athlon is faster than pentium 4
