I think he'll be next prime minister, but I don't think he'll be the next elected prime minister.

Isn't it that the British elect a party and whoever is party leader of the winning party becomes prime minister? So Gordon Brown will only become prime minister should Labour win the next election.

Could be wrong but don't think so.

Hello,

(ANS) At the present time it still looks quite shakey that he will be automatically voted in as the PM by new labour. I would like to see a leadership election when the time comes for it, why? because I personally dont think Gordon Brown has what it takes to be a prime minister, I dont beleive he has the right qualities for that job. I think he is great as a chancellor, thats what he's extremely good at but being PM requires a totally different set of skills for the task.

**I do think Gordon Brown would make a suitable leader of the new labour party after Blair has departed.

**NO! I just dont think Gordon Brown will make a good prime minsiter I dont beleive has has the right talents for the position.

Gordon will succeed TB...therefore, he will be our next prime minister...but he will not be elected by the people of this country. Just like the vote to join Europe......the British as a people never got that vote either.

It's 50/50 at the moment I would say. It all depends on two things.

a) Gordon Brown becoming leader of the Labour Party
b) His holding a general election at the top of his bounce

I think he will be the next prime minister, but not voted by the people...

I think he is going to make a terrible prime minister and will not last very long, he has those eyes.. (untrustworthy)

properly right that's an prolonged shot, yet Gordon Brown is Superman and he did save the international. Nope, i do no longer think of even Gordon Brown being outed as Superman ought to get him re-elected as PM.

I doubt anyone would oppose him. He is certain to be the next Prime Minister. Whether his party remains in power is another thing.

Sadly yes if Tony Blair ever leaves office. Hopefully a General election will be called and we can get rid of him too.

I sincerely hope not, there is something a little unrustworthy about the man, that silly , patronising little smirk of his puts me on my guard,he should not automatically become P.M. without being elected to the post!
