I heard a long time ago that Tom Cruise is a big fan (as I am) of the Gerry Anderson 1970 TV series, "UFO," and that his production company was preparing a movie, with Cruise himself to play the role of Commander Straker. Has anyone else heard about this? Is it true?

I actually have heard that too but tom cruise himself has not personally acknoledged it probably so that he will still be seen as cool. In my opinion all ufo watchers are cool.
