The options definitely depend on greatly on factors including the area of the country you are in, the size of the city or town you live in, and your work history. Obviously bigger cities will have more options and it will be easier to get a job at $10/hour if you have previous work history. If not, this may be very difficult. But, here are some options:

1. Telephone Work: There are many options in this field and they usually pay around $9 to $10 an hour and have evening shifts which are great for people who are in school. Some of the options for telephone work include bill collecting for a credit card company or bank, polling calls for a political party or candidate, charity calls from the Fraternal Order of Police, etc

2. I know you said you hate to cook but being a waiter at a nice restaurant for their dinner shift will not require you to cook and it is a great way to make good money because of the tips.

3. If you have any retail experience in your background, you may want to try looking for a Store Manager job. Those usually are salaried jobs with benefits and they do not require much previous experience.

4. Also, check out loading docks if you have any industrial businesses in your area. Loading docks are often Union jobs and they pay well and have good benefits.

Good Luck
