College football because the attitudes get checked at the door. There are no TO's to ruin the team.

speaking from both sides of the fence! My personal opinion is watching college football and here are the reasons. In college you have young men who are there to trully enjoy the game. They are not paid like professionals and the atmosphere is one of pure pleasure not business. Every player on the college team gets to play during the season which is great for the players that are not quiet as talented as the starters. The prime reason college players play ball is to further their education and not concentrate on making the astronomical dollars that are paid the professional players. Professional football is strictly a business, you either produce or your gone from the team. In college if you somehow don't advance as the coaches would hope for, you are on scholarship and still can gain the education you need in the world today. The excitement generated by the student body of the respective schools is almost magical. I played for Florida State University back in the late 70's early 80's and the rivalry between FSU and Florida was the greatest.

Having moved to the USA two years ago, my wife ( who is a huge foortball fan ) has tried to get me into the game. Having watched most of this seasons games and all the playoff games, and then having caught a couple of the college games this year ( including the National championships as the wife is a Gators Fan ) I can honestly say that the College games have more excitement probably because the players are palying for their futures in the Pro teams.
Just my opinion but that's how I see it.

College...many people can relate to college teams. Maybe they are almumni, or have family and friends that attend the school. Also, the colleges represent areas, like states or towns. Pro teams represent their owner, and really, how many actually play? There aren't as many ties to NFL teams, not like College. That's why there are waaaaay more fans at college games than in the NFL. I love them both, but college is my favorite by far.

the college game is far more enjoyable to me, they let them play a little bit more, I was a huge pro fan in the 60s & 70s but can hardly watch that predictable penalty ridden game anymore

College is probably better games but until they get a good playoff system in place i like how the NFL is set up to end with a definite winner and there isnt as much ranking controversy as with the BCS.

College if you have a local team. Pro football is sooooo expensive. Just to park is huge money.

college football because the players are playing for pride and for their teams and schools but not for the money. The atmosphere in the stadium is much better too.
