it is really strange that your baby would have died from this because it is a really common test that most OB/GYN's test for during a certain week in your pregnancy. I do believe it's around 36 weeks. Did you ever get that test?

First of all I am sorry for your loss, I can't image how hard that has to be and i have lost my little girl at 5 weeks old after open heart surgery. If you need to talk about the loss we can talk.
As for the discharge that is normal in most woman. I have a slight discharge almost every day. Heavier towards my period then others. If you are really concerned just call the doctor and ask they will be able to give you an answer.
Best of luck to you.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Our fourth child, Marlise, was a breach birth, and she died with the umbilical cord around her neck. It's not the same condition, but the loss is no less. These situations emphasize how fragile birthing truly is. We take it for granted sometimes. Anything can happen, anytime.
We had a lot of trouble with miscarriages in our earlier pregnacies. I think we had five or six before our first viable pregnancy. We usually lost them around 8 to 12 weeks. My wife started spotting, and that was the beginning of the miscarriages.
She went on progesterone treatment, and eventually we had three good pregnacies. We still miss our daughter Marlise, but the pain has softened. We have three children, and the youngest is 18 now. Marlise would have been 15.
Talk with your OB and staff. They can respond better to any questions you have.
God bless you!

I'm sorry for your loss. I lost my son on Oct 26 2006. He was born to early at 21w3d due to Incompetent cervix. I also had an infection in my bag of waters but they never tested it to see what it was. He only lived for 3 hours. I just wanted to let you know that your little girl isn't alone. I'm sure William (my son) is playing with her in the clouds!
After giving birth our body's can change or stay the same. I wouldn't worry about it to much!

All doctors do a strepB culture at about 35w pregnant, it's called a GBS culture. Did your doctor not do this? They give antibiotics to the pregnant mother to avoid infection in the baby. A lot of women carry it but never get infected, it's found in our vagina and/or anus. It can be passed to the baby in utero or during birth.
I'm so sorry for your loss... make sure they give you a test the next time you are pregnant and give your doc **** for not testing you with this one!

As for discharge, a lot of us get it after delivery and it can last for 6 weeks. I'm not sure why it's lasting for more... perhaps you are still affected with strep and need to get that cleared up.

i'm so sorry for your loss. i have heard of this happening, but don't know anyone it has happened to. i did have a stillborn brother (i was 12 at the time), and i know how hard it must be for you.
as for the discharge, pregnancy can change the way things work in your body so it could be the norm for you now, but it would probably be best to check with your doctor.

I'm sorry to hear about your baby. I have heard of strep B causing problems if you are infected and the baby passes through the birth canal and you were not treated for it. I did not know it could cause still birth. What has you Dr said about all this?
My son was stillborn 20 years ago..........his cord was the cause of his death. Please feel free to email if you need someone to talk to.

I am so sorry for your lose. The best person to talk to is a counselor. It helped me. We lost our 2 yr old son suddenly. So I sort of know what your going thru. Also Grieve chat rooms are good too. Having good family and friends helps too.
You are not alone! (((((((((((dreamer)))))))
