To understand reality is not the same as to know about outward events. It is to perceive the essential nature of things. The best-informed man is not necessarily the wisest. Indeed there is a danger that precisely in the multiplicity of his knowledge he will lose sight of what is essential. But on the other hand, knowledge of an apparently trivial detail quite often makes it possible to see into the depth of things. And so the wise man will seek to acquire the best possible knowledge about events, but always without becoming dependent upon this knowledge. To recognize the significant in the factual is wisdom.
Dietrich Bonhoeffer

These days people seek knowledge, not wisdom.
Simplistic popularization of ideas and what passes for knowledge in our modern society has thrust our world into a mental straitjacket.

There's nothing wrong with being ignorant. But ignorant people who think they know everything are very annoying.

I don't think knowledge is blissful at all. Not to say it's a total bummer but knowledge alone does not produce happiness.

Accepting you don't know everything would be the middle ground, that way you already know you don't have all the answers but you accept that you are willing to learn more.
I don't think ignorance is bliss...never have, never will.

Knowledge is the key to life. The more you know, whether it's book smarts or street smarts, the more you will be prepared to handle what life throws at you.

How much knowledge can one person actually achieve?

I think it is better to know a little more than to know nothing at all.
