I've had a few miracles in my life and one at Christmas many years ago.
My son(3) was hit by a car late Nov. It was a head injurgy(brain stem) I was in hospital myself at the time and nurses came to tell me he had been hit. He was in Coma and not expected to live through the night. He did. The days went by slowly than he finally opened his eyes. I must tell you it was as if I was looking into fish eyes (after caught) He wasn't there. He was unable to walk, talk but could laugh. We worked hard at making him laugh it was the most wonderful song to my ears.
Christmas was upon us and I had to choose to be with him or stay at home with his brother and sister (5,8) who of course were anticpating all the joys of Christmas and Santa's visit.
I decieded to stay at home to make Christmas for them and (single parent) have my Mother greet Christmas morning with him.
when she walked in the nurses were crying@ regonizing her, took her aside to say they had something important to share. Mom thought the worse and rushed pass them into his room. Sitting UP in the bed , bright and cheery my son whispered "He's all red" His first words since the accident.. Santa had payed an early morning visit and I believe he brought along an angel to wake my baby up.
II got the call as the kids were opening presents. It was my Mother sobbing, my heart dropped, until I heard her say "He's back with us" A true miracle from heaven
I'll share a little more with you about this tale. He was in hospital for months , had to learn everything all over again plus an operation. but finally allowed to come home
One day he was sitting on the couch quietly(headache) I was in kitchen when he called me He said" Mommie remember when you lost me?" I answered yes and he said "the man took me to the light, he was all white. He told the man to take me back as it wasn't my time" Mommie, I didn't want to go but HE made me" My jaw dropped open and I wanted to ask all sorts of questions but manged to say "I'm so glad he did send you back, I would have missed you so much. His anwser yup LOl
To this day my son who is now in his thirties with his own family remembers done t of this.
Sure wish I'd grilled him. (grin) Please I hope everyone can find it in their hearts to beleieve in mircale.
One more thing for those who say I must have been very religious and church goer NO WAY. The story went out and we did have prayers from all ove one church started a prayer line. I live in Toronto . Miracles are real!
