First vacuum up as much of the hair as you can. Then use damp rubber gloves and run your hands over the couch. Repeat until all of the hair is gone.

Note: Be sure you follow the nap (or grain) of the fabric, because when the fabric dries it will dry in the direction that you rubbed it and stay 'ruffed up'. So make sure that you have the nap laying down (smooth) when it dries.

Bull Terrier is NOT for the first time dog owner. These dogs require a firm but fair hand and the owner needs to be three steps ahead of them thinking at all times. Your first dog should be something that is going to be easy to train, forgiving of mistakes and lapses in leadership to teach you how to be a good dog owner. When you go to the humane society let them know that you are looking for a dog that is relatively easy to train with a moderate energy level. Don't get a puppy for your first dog either. Get something around 2 years old or older that is already house broken, possibly crate trained and may have already been through an obedience class and know some basic commands. Your first dog should be able to teach you how to be a good and responsible dog owner.

Try a lint roller. Its sticky tape on a roll. It is designed not to leave glue residue of fabric. Some ordinary tape might leave glue.

Just learn to live with it. Keep a brush handy for guests when they get off the couch. If they don't like it, they don't have to come over. Bulldogs rule!
