Listen VERY carefully and consider this.... Millions of people gamble on sports. Millions of dollars are won and lost around EVERY sporting event at the college level and above. Organized crime has long had a hand in sports betting. When a significant number of people bet on one team to win, this means that the percentage of chance of that team winning dips significantly. WHY? Because the mafia does not like to lose money. What do they do? They threaten or buy off owners, coaches, trainers, players, officials and try to affect the outcome of the game so that they do not lose. Are sports in general rigged? Absolutely. Anyone who does not think that the mafia has a hand in determining the outcomes of games is and idiot that fails to understand the motivating principal behind it..... MONEY

Sometimes I wonder. Even though the Eagles play calling was bad at times, and there were a few dropped balls, the Saints got away with murder as far as holding our defense. And I mean chokeholds around the neck that weren't called. Facemask against Wetbrook, again not called.
Last year, not being either a Pats or Seahawks fan, I felt the Hawks got robbed. When you start to notice the refs and have trouble agreeing with the call when you see the replay, then you know they're affecting the game. Even Chris Berman said it after the Eagles-Saints game. another announcer said sometimes the officials get caught up in the game too, and the whole story (like NO and Katrina).

Well, as an Eagles fan, it is my sad task to tell you that NO won that game because they played better -- and because (I am convinced) their fans were so loud that it was a distraction.
It was a good game, but the Saints won it.
Let's wait and see what happens next week, when the Saints don't have their fans to help them out in Chicago. ;-)

The saints also acquired Reggie Bush. Whats your point?? Has nothing to do with worldly events. Football is about talent.

I could see the connection with "Patriots" and being "Patriotic" after 9/11, but seems to far-fetched to me.
GO NINERS!
