Kobe. It isnt the 83 pts either. Kobe plays D, doesn't have the supporting cats that Vince has, and Kobe doesn't take plays off. Vince is known to pick the times he wants to play hard and not play hard the whole time.
All this said, Vince is still a great talent.....Kobe is just the better player.

Personally I believe One on One Vince Carter will beat Kobe 9 out 10 times.
Vince Carter is more talented than kobe bryant. He can jump higher,He quicker,and uses both hands more freely, kobe tends to favor his right hand.
However as u said the better nba player is kobe bryant.
But Streetball vince cater would kill kobe bryant cause vince is a baller
If u look at career numbers they are quite similar.And vince can score 50 just as easily as kobe. They are very similar players. I prefer Vince Carter cause i personally dont like kobe comments about Shaq. And i think vince Carter is the better teammates. Kobe tends to isolate himself like he God's gift yet he got caught with his pants down.
look Beyond the HYPE man!!!!! Vince with Shaq would have won 3 championship also.
I would take vince over kobe bryant anyday anyday

Kobe, as much as it may pain me to say it. He is just better all around, especially on the defensive side, he can also score from anywhere at will, Vince still has a very suspect 3point shot. and the topper is health ... Kobe seems to be ALOT LESS injury prone than VC ... even if VC has his college degree ... plus Black Mamba sounds more frightening then Air Canada (i know hes not in toronto anymore)

I'm thinking Kobe hands down.
Vince is got Kidd and JR by his side, and see how good nets is?
And there's Kobe, who can do everything, controlling the whole game, score from anywhere, do anything to help the Laker win, and the list goes on...
And see how good Lakers are?
Kobe can dominate, Carter is a good player, but just don't at the same level.

1st off I do wonder if this was a serious question.
2nd off I think uppidycon should actually watch a laker game before he can determine if Kobe is a ballhog. That's why Brian Cook and Smush and Sasha and Maurice Evans have all scored over 20 points
