no court was involved. bio mom direct to adoption agency. also i'm NOT selfish or ungrateful. it is important for me and my son to know what kind of medical history our parents/grandparents have. i dearly love my adoptive parents and am VERY grateful to them for giving me a chance at this crazy thing we call life.

First I want to say congratulations, second, ignore the idiot saying that you are ungrateful, I was not ungrateful for my parents and finding my Biological mother was one of the best things that happened to me.
There are about a million adoption reunion sites online. Although if this was 36 years ago, your biological parents may not be internet savy, but its a good place to start.
There is an adoption registry in most states. I don't know what state you are in but I have included the registry for New York, you may have to look up whatever state you are in. This is a good place to start because, at least in New York, if both parties are registered they can then release the information about identification and whereabouts.
There is also a Private Investigator, these can be expensive, but if you have the monitery means, it could be a good option.
Good Luck and I hope you find them!

Do you know the court your parents went through for the adoption? You could contact the courthouse for information that would help you.
