And why do boys / men often put their hands in to the pant pocket and keep standing?
Body language are mostly formed by the external climates. If the climate is very cool, naturally our palms and fingers become numb and want some heat and warmness. So men put their hands & fingers in to the pant pockets!
And by this time you should have known the reason very well! Yes, for the "reason unknown" from the recent past, women used to cover only half the portion / quarter portion of their body even at worst winter times!!
Suppose, if a girl / woman wears a skirt at winter time, where, her body needs some warmness due to the lack of clothing, her hands naturally tend to go between her legs to get the fingers warmed!
More tips for you : That is why woman keep their leg often, one on another while sitting in the meetings, more than the men do!!

Depending on how far up their legs, they're probably a) trying to keep their hands warm, or b) fidgety and trying to keep themselves still. Often, when I'm bored, I'll put my hands between my knees or my thighs so that I can sit still...most likely, they're not doing anything perverted unless they have their hands in, er, their personal space.

For the same reason boys/men sit with their legs wide open and have the need to 'adjust' their privates whenever a woman passes by....
