i know you say you dont want to go to the dr. but I am also very irregular, 1 period in 3 months! I have been TTC for 6 months and my dr ran simple blood tests to find out that my progestrone levels were 1/4 what they should be! This hormones sustains pregancy, so even if i did get pregnant I would have miscarried and we would have been back at 0 and 3 steps behind that as they recommend not to get pregnant for 3 months after a miscarriage! So I am now on Prometrium I take this on days 14-30 of my cycle. When I stop taking it I will either be preggos or get my period in 3 to 5 days, thus I start all over again. My midwife said she would be very suprised if i didnt get pregnant the 2nd or 3rd month! So my suggestion go to the dr, you never know what could be wrong, something simple like mine might not take as much time as you think!

If you are not having a period then most likely you are not ovulating. Didd you just get off the pill or something? You might want to get on for a couple of months to regulate your period and then see if it comes on its own the third month. Once you go to the Dr. they will let you know other options.
Some people try for years and are still trying to get pregnant so dont feel bad.
My hubby and I have been ttc for 6 months so far.
Good luck and take care

You've probably not started because of the stress of trying. Relax and stop "trying" just enjoy intimate times with your hubby. I've known many people that when they were "trying" it didn't happen, but when they stopped trying it happened.

So I suggest relaxing and letting things happen when they happen.

they have those tests at wal mart or walgreens that tell you when you are ovulating. Go from there, if you know when you are ovulating it will help in having a baby.

Maybe you should not try to get pregnant and it will happen. I'm 15 yrs. old and 14 weeks pregnant and I didn't try...
