I have telewest broadband and it asks me if I have a dynamic, static, PPPoE or other how do I know which one and where do I get the informatiom from ?

Thanks

WIth telewest its PPOE (Point to Point over Ethernet)
It will be a dynamic External IP Address

If you enable DHCP on the router and put the correct username and password for connection to telewest that should be all you need as long as telewest have got away from the awful practice of MAC filtering.

To be honest the D-Link Wireless Routers are not the best
They tend to hang or freeze when adjusting wireless settings.
(they are very good wired hardware software driven switches)

Normally for cable connections...Dynamic is used, as the cable modem will assign the Dlink an IP address...but I would call telewest, and they will let you know which setup to use

Call DLink tech support after you read the instructions that came with your router.

Use the set up disk that your I.P. Provider gave you. All the settings are on there
