My sister and I are planning a European Trip. We will be in Greece for 3 days and would like to have an itinerary planned for each day of sites to go see and we would like to do this independantly of any "group travel" agency. I think the important thing is that we plan everything in such an order that we can cluster site-seeing by location. Have any of you had any organized itineraries that you would be willing to share?

I have seen people travelling through Greece your way.. a shame to spend only 3 days in Greece..
If you insist and you are landing at Athens airport, then spend/walk 1 day in Athens to visit the obvious sites; for the second day, make sure you booked a taxi/cab for a long day trip (expensive) to Delphi, Corinthos, Mycenes & Epidavros.. the trip in all its beauty will kill you.. make sure your day ends up in Nafplio or Tolon, so early morning you can pick a ferry-combination that will bring you over the Islands of Hydra and Aegina to Pireaus (Athens port).
Then hury back to your plane.. and take a long rest in the absolut knowledge that you have past by some of the most valuable world heritage sites, without seeing them...
Sorry not to be able to give you a more positive approach; Greece is worthed more then 3 days..
See some of my pictures and enjoy your brief visit ..

Unfortunately Jeroen Wijnands is right, however, there are some few that try to keep helping people. Well I guess you have to figure out where you want to go. and that is the hard thing really since once you figure that out everything else just falls into place. I usually suggest to people that have not been here before that their best bet is to go to Crete. Its a big place well organized, and you'll find a lot of different things to do. Then, once you have taken a taste of Greece, for the second time you can be a little bit more focused.

jansen gave you an ideal 3 day trip to give you an idea of whats there .nights you can see the night life ...Plaka is a must do but you'll see that on that day in Athens too.
I did this my first year there, stayed in Athens, then took day trips to his other places. I go every year usually for 3 weeks but one time was for 2 months.....I visit with relatives of relatives so had great "guides'......you'll love it.....my heart is in Greece only my body comes back to work till the next year......lol....

well here's the thing......first of all you haven't mention the month you are coming and secondly you should have mentioned exactly what you are looking for.....there are so many places here to visit...so many islands.....if you are coming this summer you'd better go on an island and if you are staying just for three days you'd better choose an island close to Athens( the capital)....now if you wanna stay in Athens there are some places you shouldn't miss...go to plaka it's a very graphic place that i believe you will enjoy it a lot...don't forget to eat souvlaki with tzatziki (you haven't tasted something like that before)and go for a coffee in thisio (it's close to plaka)and of course you have to visit some historical places like Parthenon and have some drinks in a bar in Piraeus in mikrolimano(it's next to the sea and it has a great view)......we are waiting for you next summer....have a great time here :)
