I have 3 children and I know my body very well because I knew I was pregnant with all three of my children before I was even late with my period. A little over two years ago I had a tubal ligation. My doctor told me that he burned the ends of my tubes. Since the operation (I was going through a divorce.) I did not have sex until a few months ago. I am currently not late for my period but I have all the feelings that I had with my previous 3 pregnancies. What are the chances that I AM pregnant? This really is not a good time in my life to have another child but I think they are a blessing from God and will be happy if I am pregnant. Also, I will be just as happy (but in a different sense) if I'm not. I feel silly because I thought I would never be going through these thoughts of having another child again. Any advice? I haven't missed a period yet so I don't think it would do any good to take a test at this point. I would like to know how possible it is to become pregnant.

Will a tubal pregnancy show up on a pregnancy test? I was told it wouldn't but am curious to know why and if the person who gave me this "fact" is right or wrong. Thanks.

With the procedure you had, it is very unlikely that you are pregnant. But the chances are still greater than zero. You may be experiencing some hormonal changes as a result of your being sexually active again.
If you are in fact pregnant, get yourself to your OBGYN immediately, because under these circumstances, you would have a higher risk for a tubal pregnancy.

23 yrs. ago, I had a Tubal-ligation.... & 10yrs. ago I ended up pregnant , by this time, I was with a diffarant man. But it was a Tubal Pregnacy & it Burst, causing me to end up in Hospital, getting my tube sliced & re-tied & an Ovary removed , because of the infection. They said when i got my tubes tied , " That 1, in every 10000 women , a tube will come UNTIED. " While I was in the Hospital, Casper newspaper had an article in it that said , "it's more like "1 in every 1000 !!!!!!!!!!" so their & yes , you could be preg'o's...But its Extremely important that you find out right AWAY... GOOD-LUCK !!!!!!!!
