Of course not. Until he can prove that he can win the big game he will always be considered a great QB but not the best there is. You would have to consider QB's like Joe Montana, John Elway, Tom Brady, Brett Farve among others that have reached the super bowl and won. If he doesn't win a super bowl Peyton Manning will be placed in the same category as Dan Marino, Fran Tarkenton and Jim Kelly. Great careers but no ring to show for it.

Its not even close. Eli Manning performed somewhat nicely down the stretch of the prevalent season and contained in the playoffs the 12 months the Giants received the tremendous Bowl, yet he wasn't the numerous reason they received. he's continually remembered for by some skill getting far flung from Patriots defenders on that popular toss-up, yet David Tyree made the magical capture, and is the guy who somewhat ought to get the vast majority of the credit on that play. Then Eli tossed the eventual recreation-winner to Plaxico Burress, however the game did not end till the Giants aggressive shielding line bull-rushed the Patriots into submission on the finalchronic of the game. Peyton, on the different hand, received with a a lot less spectacular protection and has carried out so for a lot of his occupation. His defenses have continually been solid, and commonly somewhat solid, yet i might want to argue that none of them ever were as solid as Eli's changed into that one 12 months. or perhaps if you could say Eli had lots to do with that call win, that still changed into the purely 12 months the position he had issues remotely mutually. he's been a extraordinarily inconsistent participant, otherwise, at the same time as Peyton has been the kind of consistency and elite production in all aspects for his complete occupation.

Peyton is really good. However, he does not work well under pressure at all. Every year in the play-offs, he loses to the Patriots, even though he has better skills. I would say that Peyton is one of the best quarterbacks because he has the skills and experience, but the fact that he doesn't have any Super Bowl rings brings down his ratings.

When his career is complete that question will be answered. Only because he has still not won a Super Bowl plus he's only half way through his career. I believe he will be one of the greatest ever. In my opinion, it is nearly impossible to determine the greatest QB of all time just because of determining clutchness, accuracy, power, numbers, etc... You could argue for Tom Brady because of what he does in the 4th quarter and OT and in the playoffs. If I had to pick a QB it would be Joe Montana just because he did it all. But Manning is definitely up there.

Tom Brady is but no one seems to be keeping an eye on him. Peyton's good, but he hasn't won a championship yet. Brady has!

At present you would have to rate him below Montana and Brady; but let's visit this question again in 5-6 years. Assuming he wins his next 2 games, he's still below these two at this point.

Yes. But his stats will be forever tarnished until he wins a Superbowl ring a la Dan Marino.

At the present time? As a QB? He is only an integral PART of a sum.

yep...hes too good, you saw it vs. baltimore, no matter how good the baltimore D was, he managed to get the colts in good position to kick field goals. plus as a quaterback hes too accurate, quick release, very fierce competitor, and you've seen him single handedly tear apart defenses in the regular season.

there are plenty of QB's with fingers covered in superbowl rings who haven't done half of what he has, but then again... those rings really do speak for themselves when you look back at a carreer.
