I've learned that I don't hate the person, I hate their ways. But if you insist that you hate the person the best and nicest way to tell them is honesty. Just tell them you don't really care for them or there ways and you'd rather they not come around you. Be prepared for an arguement. Then again, you could forgive them, if it's personal reasons. If not, then you need to look at yourself.

You want to be nice to someone you hate? I would not tell them that I hate them at all. I'd try to find things to not hate about them, but stay away from them if they are upsetting me to a point of such dislike.

Why waste your own time?

If you are unwilling to separate yourself from the concept of hate, why bother with niceties?

What good does that do? As though "nice" gives absolution to a heart filled with hate.

hate is an awfuly strong word, perhaps you mean that you hate their behavior or something that they do & not
them, just tell them about the thing that they do that bothers you & if they care then they will TRY not to do it around you , but remember a person will not chage unless they want to, good luck ,I'll stop now .

Don't tell them. It's not difficult for people to catch on what you think of them without using words. People always know where they stand with me, and I don't have to tell them.

Ignoring a person, seeing through the person or sarcasm in your speech can convey the message.
