- Contiguous describes two or more objects that are adjacent to each other. In computing, contiguous data is data that is moved or stored in a solid uninterrupted block.

In general, contiguous data can be accessed more quickly than data that is stored in fragments because fewer access operations will be required. Files are sometimes stored in fragments so that storage space can be used more efficiently (all the small spaces can be used).

It is a manner in which storage space is occupied ... it is not actual storage space so "deletion" is neither an option nor a possibility.

Contiguous space is good! This is space available on your hard drive, and is "together" Contiguous means "adjoining". So all the contiguous areas on your hard drive can be accessed much faster. You may have heard of "disk defragmenter". This is software that puts files in contiguous space, so the PC will run faster

If you are referring to defragmenting you hard drive, contiguous space is good. If you want to make space on your hard drive, you should uninstall any programs you know you are not using and also use the disk cleanup utility provided by windows by going to start >> all programs >> accessories >> system tools >> disk cleanup.

Defrag your harddrive...contiguous space on your hard drive is locations on your harddrive that do not have a break between them. if you defrag your harddrive this aligns everything. Not sure iif you'll be able to understand that. Defragging will make your computer speed up, as it' doesn't have to look all over your harddrive for information..coniguous space can not be deleted, as there is nothing in it
