9/10

1/10 + 4/5

ok find the common denominator

it’s 10 so keep the first one and change the second one

so now u have 1/10+ 4/5 and change 4/5 to 8/10 becuz 5 goes into 10 2 times and multiply 2 by ur numerator ok so u get 8

now ur problem is 1/10 + 8/10

add them together and u have 9/10

you can also cross multiply.

1 times 5 = 5
10 times 4 = 40

5+40 on top
and you multiply 10 and 5

50 on bottom

45/50 simplify to = 9/10 ( divide each by 5)

hope this helps

1/10+ 4/5= 9/10
the common denominator is 10
ten divided by ten is 1 ans one times 1 is one
ten divided by 5 is two and two time 4 is eight
eight plus one is nine, so it makes it 9/10
