Isn't there supposed to be a vote on matters of such serious impact? I can't believe that ONE person can just run roughshod over the opinions of hundreds of thousands of others, in what's supposed to be a democracy!

Doesn't Bush care at all what other people think?

Is this a surprise, given Bush's track record?

If another leader in another country was doing there what Bush is doing here, we would call that leader a 'madman'. Here, we just call that person 'president'.

Bush can go forward with military plans without congress' approval. Although, I have not heard of such a vow. This is typical lib. rhetoric. Regardless of what you think their are people that support President Bush & beleive we are doing the right thing in Iraq. It is a difficult task. No one ever said it would be easy. We live in a fast food/instant gradifacation society. This is why our enemies see us as a paper tiger that does not have the stomach to sustain itself when faced with a difficult challenge.

Unfortunately, a leading democrat, Dick Durbin from IL, says they are powerless to do anything. Checks and Balances, what a rip. Unless the Supreme court can get in involved.

The only thing they can do, is to get him impeached. But doubt that will happen.

"Doesn't Bush care at all what other people think?"

He never has. He's the president and can/will do whatever he wants. Tony Snow, who is the press sec, even said that the White House will not listen to public opinion.

Yeah, well I hope he plans on sending his grandaughters and all of congress and the senate's kids over to Iraq with the 20 thousands more he wants to send over there...."there will be loss of life" he said, well isn't that comforting for the parents, I am sure they will sleep well at night.....I don't believe a word he says, why we're there, and everything else associated with this stupid war...It is all about OIL!!!!! And major @ss kissing to who ever he is doing it to. For some warped self indulgence to finish what papa bush started and failed at.....

Has Bush ever cared what other people think?

Anyway, he is the commander-in-chief of the armed forces, and he can do whatever the hell he wants regarding his Iraq plan... so long as there's money allocated for it. If Congress cuts off funding, they can effectively stop him. But if he sends the troops over before they can cut funding, they'll be cutting cash to troops in Iraq at the time, and that'd be bad.

Bush can say what he wants, but without a vote from Congress, it won't happen. If it were to happen, we would be faced with a dictator instead of a president, which if you ask me isn't much different that what he is now. He is a dangerous president and I pray the day comes quickly when he is gone.

No, and from the solutions right here, of direction they have "forgotten" that bill Clinton grow to be the first president to inform us Saddam had WMD, and that Clinton also released an attack on the suspected places of the imaginary WMD. Dubya grow to be the 0.33 president in a row to attack Iraq. Clinton's impeachment grow to be not on time by using countless days, because his attack only "exceeded off" to take position in one day us of a time even as his impeachment grow to be scheduled for the subsequent morning. Clinton made a televised speech in which he delcared Saddam had used WMD in the previous to dedicate genocide hostile to his own people. He went on to assert that Saddam represented a persisted chance to international peace and safe practices. even as Hillary Clinton made really an same speech to describe her vote to authorize conflict hostile to Iraq, how can any rational human being trust she grow to be deceived by using all and sundry except her own husband, even as she grow to be speaking almost an same words he himself spoke on nationwide television? that's thoroughly ludicrous to declare that Bush deceived almost all of politicians in both activities. that they had already been deceived by using Clinton. Please, quit attempting to re-write historic previous.

unfortunately for the american people ,george w.bush is not going to listen,he is bent on having his own way ,to go to war he defied the u.n and broke many international laws, now to add more troops he will defy the legislative branch of thiis country he serves,he really doesnt care that just like all of then in congress he is a public officail elected by the people here,so normally he should listen to those who put him in power and not be hardheaded and ignore the voice of his own country.america folks is in disarray and being ridiculed worldwide all because of the man in power, too much power in his hands ,g.w.bush.you'd think 3000+ deaths would weigh heavy on his consience but obviously it doesnt,he has no heart,he is bent on getting iraq's oil so that this country stop depending on foreign oil to survive.thats the deal here,he has his eyes on a gold mine ,look at it this way, iraq:world number 2 oil producer,if he makes saddam disappear, set up a puppet governement, and incites a ivil war and acts like he wants to resolve it by occupying the country for 4 yrs now well,he will get closer and closer to the oil he covets so badly
american governem, ent is divided in 3 parts as we all know,he has defied all other branches, the legislative branch with this crap, and the judicial(tapping phones and spy program that the supreme court didnt approve or grant a warrant for but the old congress gave him power to "bypass"the judicial system)i tell you folks,he isnt a president ,he is very much short of being branded a modern day dictator
he doesnt care how many died or many more will die ,he doesnt care for iraqi civilians dying either
i tell you something needs to be done whats next folks?violating the constitution perhaps
if there are true american patriots stand up and do something
it will get worse folks by the time he is out of office next november,it will get worse
any escalation right now will lead to a nuclear war thats guaranteed
god bless america and the soldiers but what other choice does conngress have other than to cut funding, yes that putting the troops at risk but what choice is there its the only way he will pull then back and bring them home he cant i reapeat cant watch funds being cut and still send them in no way that will truly get him in trouble it is certainly a violation of the law and pure disregard for human life then ..so i implore congress to ave guts and do whatever is needed and act fast and stop this maniac from bringing the country and world closer to nuclear war and eventual self destruction
do whats needed, hard choices need to be made here .a billion dollars a week spent and the result is 3000+deaths and rising, well just like he said that is unacceptable to everyone standards and yes the blame rests solely on him and his advisors(cheney and rumsfeld)
am man who cant even listen to his own generals fires whoever defies his policy and just doesnt listen to the people he serves:this country.
