Come on! Someone say no! :)

But shouldn't you work your hardest no matter how you feel about the job? (Not that I am, not that I'm not.)

I've asked this question on here before, but I'll half repeat it. Everyone here is saying I should find a new job (why are you assuming that I have a job I hate?!). OK, so I have a job I hate. But here's the question: I work part-time in a job I love, but can't get a full-time position in because they are very rare. I also work part-time in a job I hate, but it has benefits and pays well. The first time I asked which job I should stick with, most people said the job that pays well. So, what would you do?

Absolutely!!!! When I first took my job I LOVED it. Then we had a lot of people quit and I started to became overworked. I went to my bosses on several occassions to let them know I needed help and it was obvious that my attention to detail and thoroughness was lacking. Instead of getting me help they drag me in to yell at me about my poor job performance. Can't say I have really loved my job again since. I never even want to go. I still try to do a good job, but I don't go above and beyond anymore, and my free time at home is spent looking for another job.

If you don't like your job then you really need to find a different one.As long as you hate your job you are not trying your best and it reflects on the job.You need to change jobs and find something you really like.

Yes. Find another job before your work ethic is shot altogether.

you bet it does. Your motivation to do well goes out the window, and you find yourself doing the "bare minimum" to get by. Eventually your mood will translate into, and in many instances minimize your performance at work.

yes, it would take really really strong work ethics to do your best at a job you hate and have no respect for.
I have heard a saying that goes "minimum wage, minimum effort" or "minimal respect, minimal effort".

I know this form experience.... YES!

It can also ruin your career. So try to something that you at least have a moderate liking to. Or else, you will have problems and it may also kill your desire.

Yes, because if you don't wont to be there, you wont be enthusiastic about getting things done.
